Verity Homes has joined together with their trade partners on their First Home for Hope in Fargo, ND built to date. This Home for Hope is planned to invest nearly $50,000 in the dreams of families living in poverty around the world by generating funds for HOPE International. HOPE empowers families in poverty to provide for themselves in a sustainable way through discipleship, business training, savings services, and loans as small as $50 US. This home will help enable hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs to start breaking the cycle of poverty in a dignifying way, lifting themselves and their families out of poverty for good.
Not only will Verity Homes be giving globally with this charitable home, but also locally with 1/3 of the funds going to a local animal shelter, 4 Luv of Dog Rescue, based in Fargo. 4 Luv of Dog Rescue is a volunteer run, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs.
1. How will these donated funds help 4 Luv of Dog Rescue? “4 Luv of Dog Rescue will use the funds to help pay for the extensive medical care the dogs in our rescues receive. In addition to the general coats of vaccines and spay/neuter we have dogs that have urgent medical needs. We take in dogs no matter what their age or heath needs are. Currently we are treating dogs who need orthopedic surgeries to correct painful medical issues (torn ACL, broken hip due to being hit by a car, dislocated hip, previously fractured leg that needed amputation). We also take on dogs with life-threatening illnesses like Parvo or Heart-worm infection. Our medical bills are in the thousands of dollars every month. So the funds for Verity homes will make a big impact on helping for 4 Luv of Dog Rescue pay its medical bills.”
2. What does 4 Luv of Dog Rescue need more of from the Fargo/Moorhead community? “4 Luv of Dog Rescue desperately needs foster homes. We can not continue to take on new dogs with out foster homes. 4 Luv of Dog Rescue covers the costs of all of the dog’s needs.The foster home provides a loving, safe temporary home for the dog while we look for their forever home.”
3. Why do you think Verity Homes is doing an amazing job! “Verity Homes is not only enriching people’s lives locally by helping make it possible for 4 Luv of Dog Rescue to save and place more dogs in adoptive homes, and by extending its reach globally and having the strength and vision to build a charity home that will impact many many lives through Homes for Hope.”
